If you're under 18 and looking to travel more than 250km to attend Regionals or Halibut this year (Regionals is more formally titled the Queensland Open and Women's Ultimate State Championships, and Halibut the Mixed State Championships), then the Commonwealth Government could give you up to $500 to cover your travel, accommodation, uniforms or equipment under its Local Sporting Champions scheme.

It's pretty easy to apply on-line, and young Ultimate players have been successful in getting the grant in the past, but if you need a hand contact a local senior volunteer or a member of the QUDA Executive.
